#IT CINEMA GRADE UPDATE#
All you need to do is update your macOS to Big Sur v11 and FCP to 10.6.2 to make it work. We are now thrilled and couldn't be more happy to announce that the issue has been resolve and we have solution from Apple. At one point we were exchanging emails with Apple on almost a daily basis. Sometimes these solutions worked, other times they didn't. So we have worked with Apple for months (we are lower on their list of priorities, but they care a lot) we report issues, they track those issues and slowly we have seen progress made on correcting or adding the new FxPlug functions back in. We unfortunately with you the users were not so lucky. Other developers were fine and still had some of the basic functions to make their plugins work. When Apple phased out FxPlug 3 in favor of FxPlug 4 on Apple silicon hardware on FCP they did away with many of the functions to make Cinema Grade work. Why no native support initially for Final Cut Pro?Ĭinema Grade is natively compatible on Premiere and DaVinci on M1 starting back in May 2021, Final Cut Pro was another story however. ◆ We have rewritten our renderer and UI to use Metal It has been a long journey for us but are pleased to offer it to you at no extra cost as a FREE update. We are happy to get into your hands a new version of Cinema Grade that is M1 compatible and has been fully converted to Metal.
